For So Board owner, Ranee Honesto, it’s always been about FAMILY– A big, giant Italian family in South Louisiana that would gather for all occasions large and small. There was always food, and lots of it. Feeding family and friends has always been a labor of love production with the most important elements being presentation and taste.
So Board was born in the spring of 2020, though it was truly many more years in the making. COVID-19 temporarily closed many of Baton Rouge’s favorite restaurants & bars, challenging Ranee to find creative ways to entertain friends and family at home. Ranee’s cheeseboard creations had a magical way of bringing people together, and became the bright spot of many monotonous weeks. Several spreads and a few hundred Facebook likes and shares later, Ranee decided to turn her passion into a business.
The best compliment for me is the appreciation of the board when it's set up and the empty board after it's all said and done.
